Enough doom and gloom. Time to fire up the troops with some stunning visuals courtesy of BigO, a.k.a. the Man of Renown from Puget Sound. C’mon kids, don’t get your dauber down!

Pretty hard not to get your dauber down as long as Buttmando Blownitez continues to do his job.

If we're going to point fingers, how about both the pitch calling and pitch excecution on Carlos Delgado's homer and Carlos Beltran's double?

When Tim gets ahead of Delgado 0-2, wasting the 0-2 fastball high and outside was a good idea. But doesn't that third straight fastball to Carlos set him up to not get off a swing on a curve or to swing over the change?

And when Tim gets ahead of Beltran by the same count, shouldn't he again waste a pitch, rather than put the 0-2 curve right in the middle of the plate?

In both cases, let's give the Carloses credit for good hitting. But personally I thought both the pitch calling and the pitch execution on those two pitches was poor.

SharksRog, in my opinion, you're right about the first pitch in question, the 1-2 to Delgado. Lincecum hadn't had good command of his curve up to that point in the game (he actually found it just after), but I would've definitely called for at least one change there, low and away, at least to put it in Delgado's mind, if not strike him out. I think Lincecum executed the pitch fine, but it was a bad selection.

On the second pitch in question, the 0-2 to Beltran, I think it was the right call, but poor execution from Lincecum. Molina set up just off the outside edge of the plate and at the knees. He clearly wanted it to be low and away, a perfect strike or low and/or away. Lincecum just hung it.
