When the Giants Come to Town, It's Bye-Bye Baby

Post-Game 6/6: We Watch Channel Zero

Shut out by Brandon Webb. Sigh. Protesting too much would sound whiny; he’s the Cy Young, fercrissakes. Yes, Randy Winn could have driven home a run in the seventh with something other than a ground ball right at the infield. Yes, Mark Sweeney could have made a better bunt in the 6th, which could have helped Ray Durham easily score on Feliz’s subsequent single. But none of those things happened. As Mike Krukow likes to say, Strap it on tomorrow and go get ‘em, and while you’re at it, pick up a future Silver Slugger or two in the draft.

PLODAG: Matt Morris. You know what other word starts with ‘M’? Mensch.

Nice Public Enemy reference there, ELM.

I'm getting a clearer picture of what the management needs to do in the upcoming weeks. I envision a firesale coming.

Looked like a pretty good bunt to me; if Klesko had run Webb would almost certainly have taken the sure out at first.

As Flavor Flav would say, you can't be out there staginatin' like that, Klesko.
