Funny how the trade deadline and my 900–word story deadline are only half an hour apart. I’ll weigh in on the day’s trades once both deadlines pass. Meanwhile, start discussing what has — Wilson Betemit for Scott Proctor — and hasn’t — anything Giants-related — happened.

With the deadline rapidly approaching, and hearing absolutely nothing from the Sabean Magical Mystery Tour, I feel a bit disappointed.

Then again, I can't remember a trade deadline where I was excited, except maybe the Ponson deadline deal in 2003.

Looks like no deals. On the brightside, I don't see why Morris, Roberts, and Winn wouldn't clear wavers, so maybe one of them will be moved in August. Doubt it though...

To the Pirates, for Rajai Davis and a PTBNL. It's incredible that this is how far Morris's value (at least as it was perceived to be) has fallen. Still, I'm excited.

Wow... sorry I had checked the Giants site about 5 min before I posted and hadn't seen anything. He was starting to be a little whiny for my tastes anyways.

I'll have to look into who the hell Radai Davis is before I comment, although simply shedding 10M salary next year due to a pitcher whose performance last year is evidently more indicative of who he is is a good thing.

Another OF prospect now in the system. Seems like he duplicates Roberts' skill set, hopefully while playing better defense.

Pressure's on now to move Roberts and/or Winn and clear up some spots for Lewis, Davis, Schierholtz, and Ortmeier next year.
