When the Giants Come to Town, It's Bye-Bye Baby

Radio Free Lefty

UPDATE: That was quick. They patched me in after the break, asked me two “how do the fans feel?”-type questions, and said thanks very much. I was more a quick call-in than a panelist, which was disappointing.

Moving on: Tim Kawakami of the Merc has an interview with Brian Sabean in which Sabes shoulders the blame for the sorry state of the franchise. “I take it very personally. I've let the whole organization down.”

Short notice, but if all goes as planned I should be on KQED radio 88.5 FM tomorrow (Thursday) morning in the 10 AM hour discussing Barry Bonds. It says so here, so it must be true. For those of you out of range, I believe you can listen live on the InterWebs.

Woohoo!! Somehow I didn't expect you to sound like a regular guy.

Welcome KQED listeners, by the way. ;-)

Yeah, that was pretty disappointing, I thought they would give you more to say, but it was a great plug for your blog. All 3 regular KQED listeners (besides Lefty readers) will add to your readership. :^D

I was disappointed, you were only on for like five minutes, if that. I thought you'd be part of the panel. Did you go in expecting more air time?

did they ask you about the Giants sending Sweeney to the Dodgers? What's up with that?

I knew I wouldn't be a full-hour panelist, but I expected to join before the break and take part in the discussion. Kinda lame.

>What were the questions?

I think the host Dave Iverson asked me my reaction to home run #756, then he asked what fan reaction was on my blog. Or something like that. Very, very general. It was like trying to hit and run on a pitchout; I was just swinging to protect.

Jefferson - not only does he sound normal, but I can tell you Lefty even looks normal.
