When the Giants Come to Town, It's Bye-Bye Baby

Post-Game 9/7: Ort

Giants 5, Dodgers 4: So, one of the most memorable? Ortmeier makes up for a couple mistakes during the game by pumping one out in the ninth, batting lefty no less, off Broxton, who had only given up two homers in 72 previous innings.

PLODAG: Game-winning dingers in the bottom of the ninth are nothing to sneeze at, but I really liked Jonathan Sanchez tonight. Eight hits allowed, but no walks and he finished strong enough to nearly get the win if Hennessey hadn’t blown the save.

I think us getting a chance to see a little more of what the big German is made of completely outweighed the necessity of Sanchez getting a win and Hennessey the save.

Nice game for a lot of young players, Sanchez, Ortmeier, Schierholtz had two knocks too, and Wilson had another good outing (WXRL? :^).

Wow, Sanchez had really started much all season and they let him go 112 pitches in the game.

I guess Hennessey's WXRL took another big hit... Still, with 3-ish being the threshold of pretty good, that he was brushing up against that is still pretty good.
