When the Giants Come to Town, It's Bye-Bye Baby

4/15/08: Spanked

D-Backs 8, Giants 2
: Walks and home runs, not a good combo, Mr. Correia. Vinnie Chulk is coming back, and Keiichi Yabu is going to Fresno. That means Brad Hennessey, despite his early-season struggles, is staying put, and probably becomes the long man. Controversy? Apparently Hennessey has an option and could have been demoted. Regular work in Fresno might have helped him, but it's not a big deal either way.

Aaron Rowand: three more strikeouts. Put the guy out of his misery. If he starts tomorrow against Brandon Webb, it'll be the most masochistic spectacle since Maggie Gyllenhall in Secretary. But not nearly as sexy. At least for me.

PLODAG and The Upside, all in one: John Bowker, with a triple that would've been a homer nearly everywhere else, and a 9th inning single to boot.

Would you rather see Maggie Gyllenhall or Aaron Rowand revel in exquisite pain?
Discuss.

I'd like to see this be the regular lineup, somehow, somewhat, after the trading deadline:

Lewis, LF
Velez, 2B
Schierholtz, RF
Molina, C
Rowand, CF
Bowker, 1B
Castillo, 3B
Bocock, SS

This really isn't asking too much, is it?

Let's be reasonable here. If they put Rowand on the disabled list, who's going to play centerfield?

(Only one candidate per response, please. Gotta be fair to everyone.)

If only we had a player with 657 career games played in CF to help relieve Rowand while he's hurt...

If Maggie Gyllenhall could just improve her walk/strikeout ratio, I think the G-men would be set... which I guess also gives away my answer for the discussion topic.

Winn and Raj Davis can platoon.
