I've never heard of the Players' Choice Awards, but if they're legit, Tim Lincecum's peers say he was the best pitcher in the National League this year. Either that, or it was an elaborate ruse to fake out his Mom to write a note so he could skip gym class and do
this interview. I think his classmates chipped in and drew the background mural. Ooh! The pyramid!

It is legit, and 12 out of the past 16 winners have gone onto win the Cy Young. Of course one of the 4 not to win was Schmidt. We'll see.

on 10/8 Timmy was notified (even though I wasn't sure I had ever heard of this particular award either) that he had won by a vote of the players. I posted it here for you a good 10+ days before it was announced. I'm hoping to go with his Dad to a game next year.
