4/24: Four in a Row

Giants 5, D-Backs 1: Too tired for a full recap, but I want to pass along one great observation Mike Krukow made on the TV side tonight. Right after Bengie Molina turned on a high tight fastball and pulled it over the left field fence, Krukow said Molina's plate coverage was unique. He doesn't just swing at nearly everything -- he can hit nearly everything hard.

He won Wednesday's game by hitting a low outside changeup 400 feet, tonight he brought in his arms and hit a high inside fastball, then in his next at-bat he drove a high outside fastball to the right center wall and off Chris Young's glove for a game-icing double.

When he's flailing at sliders a foot outside and in the dirt and popping them weakly to the second baseman, it's not so charming. But other than Omar Vizquel, has there been a better Giant to root for than Molina in the post-Bonds era? Where does Bengie rank amongst your fave Gyros? (It's always better to ask right after the 3 for 5, 3 RBI night.)
