7/22/09: Push It Real Good

Vote 0 Votes

Braves 4, Giants 2: Go ahead. You know you want to. Push the panic button. Beep beep beep. Get your grubby little finger all over it. Stay up and gnash and wail if you must.

I'm going to bed to dream of Aaron Rowand's early-June hot streak. No, please, stay. Feel free to vent in the comments below, too. I wish I could gnash and wail and vent a few minutes with you, I'd probably sleep a lot better, but I can't bring myself to do it tonight. Five losses in six games, including three to a team playing at its peak, just doesn't freak me out enough. Ten losses in eleven, now you're talking, especially if it includes a sweep at Coors Field this weekend. But for now, I'm breathing out of my third eyelid and chanting "Good teams go through bad stretches."

Om, baby.
