* How much slack does Bochy give Randy Winn against lefties? He’s starting tonight against Pirates southpaw Paul Maholm, and lefty Zach Duke takes the hill Sunday. A reminder: Against lefties this year Winn is 7 for 61, or .115 / .127 / .148.
* Will John Bowker get more chances to prove himself?
* Ryan Sadowski is slated to pitch Tuesday in Atlanta. If not Bowker, who goes back to the minors?
* With a few off-days to review lots of videotape [Ed. Note: Videotape? How about Super 8 film, Gramps?], will teams have a new approach against Pablo Sandoval?
* Answer this quickly and no peeking: Who’s having a better year, Nate Schierholtz or Travis Ishikawa?
