Rockies 14, Giants 11: Just because I made reference to ghosts of Denver past in last night's post doesn't mean I summoned them, Ouija-board-style, to rise up and bite the Giants on their collective french-vanilla-and-orange asses tonight. It just seems that way.
It certainly does. Tonight was old-school Coors Field fire-and-brimstone, opposite field home runs and freaked-out pitchers afraid to throw a strike and, come on, this isn't baseball, this is pinball. The Giants still have a decent shot at a split this series, but no matter where you are, losing a 6-1 lead hurts. We all knew there'd be at least one game like this, so better to get it out of the way before Timmah and Zito take their turns.
