No time for a recap before I pass out, but I have to relay my favorite post-game quote about Jonathan Sanchez, who struck out nine Rockies in six innings, including a SF-record-tying seven in a row at one point:
"I don't know the numbers, but he seems to get a hell of a lot of swings and misses," said Pat Burrell. "Sure, he walks his share of guys, but man, other teams don't seem to square up balls against him. He must have really good stuff."
Apparently Burrell doesn't remember. He has a single and double against Sanchez in two at-bats, plus a walk.
