The Giants' New Lineups

No matter what happens after this rain delay, I suggest Bruce Bochy do this in Game 4 against Adam Wainwright (assuming Marco Scutaro is still OK):

CF Pagan
LF Blanco
3B Sandoval
C Posey
2B Scutaro
1B Belt
RF Pence
SS Crawford
P Lincecum

I'd actually prefer Pence to be benched for a game, but I doubt Bochy will do it. Struggling a bit... he's a leader in that clubhouse... professional hitter... just needs to get it going... you know the drill.

If Bochy rested Pence, and Nady played LF, I'd still go with the same lineup and hit Nady 7th. I tweeted this during Game 1:

The Giants need protection for Buster Posey, and the only guy who can do it right now is Scutaro. Scutaro is mainly a singles hitter. A long threat would be ideal, but I'd rather see a threat to make solid contact every time up there than, say, Pablo. (Sorry, fellow Beltistas -- Brandon is extremely pitchable right now, and he's no more a long threat than Scutaro.)

I'm forgetting, however, that we might also see Hector Sanchez catch Lincecum tomorrow, which will no doubt tempt Bochy to bat Hector behind first baseman Posey. Nope, that lineup permutation still calls for Scutaro as the Posey protector:

CF Pagan
LF Blanco
3B Sandoval
1B Posey
2B Scutaro
C Sanchez
RF Pence
SS Crawford
P Lincecum

Or, if Bochy is feeling the tough love and wants to sit Pence:

CF Pagan
RF Blanco
3B Sandoval
1B Posey
2B Scutaro
LF Belt
C Sanchez
SS Crawford
P Lincecum

By the way, guess which Giant has the most experience against Wainwright? Mull over the lineups and let me know what you think.
